What is an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a paid job with training. You learn skills on the job while taking college courses to build your knowledge. As you progress, your pay increases. At the end of the program, you earn a recognized certification that helps you land a full-time career.
Early Childhood Education Apprenticeship (ECE)
The ECE apprenticeship is an "earn while you learn" opportunity. From day one of training, you'll earn a paycheck while working towards a nationally recognized industry credential and a fulfilling, high-paying career. You will complete 2,000 hours of job training and 44 units of supplemental instruction.
- Get paid while learning new skills and earning college credit
- Earn up to three state-approved teacher credentials from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing:
- Assistant Teacher | Associate Teacher | Teacher
- Gain real-world experience through mentoring and job training
- Complete your ECE Certificate at 小优短视频
- Continue your journey to an Associate Degree (AA) or transfer to a CSU for a bachelor's degree
- Follow a clear, step-by-step milestone path combining classroom learning and paid job experience
- Age 18 or older
- HS diploma or GED (can be in process)
- At least 6 ECE units (ECE 1 & ECE 6 recommended)
- Work authorization
